We believe in providing a safe space for individuals to make sense of their concerns and find peace within themselves.

Philosophy of Care

Our care philosophy comprises four key tenets. They are:

Providing a Safe Space

At Indigo & Co., we believe that sexuality and gender mental health care should be accessible and available to all. We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and life-giving space for our clients to voluntarily explore, discuss, and clarify their questions, concerns, and struggles in the areas of human sexuality

Person-Centred Care

We take a client-centric approach to care. We respect our clients values, beliefs, and decisions, and formulate therapeutic goals collaboratively with our clients. We do not lead our clients towards pre-determined outcomes unless they pose a risk to themselves or others.

Holistic Approach

We use the Biopsychosocial-spiritual (BPSS) Model in providing care to our clients.

  • Bio: genetic, neurobiological, and physical factors

  • Psycho: emotional and cognitive factors

  • Social: ecosystemic (past and present) factors in the individual's environment

  • Spiritual: moral, belief, existential, meaning, and purpose factors

Mission led & Guided by our Core Values

We align our entire organisation along our vision and mission, so that the actions of our staff and leaders are purposefully channeled towards achieving our overarching objective. As a mental health charity, we are aware that our purpose is to serve our clients with the best possible care through prudent use of the resources we garner.
